It’s been a rough couple of years for Josh Duggar. Shortly after news broke that he inappropriately touched a few girls when he was still a teenager, the world learned that he was also cheating on Anna Duggar. While the majority is holding him accountable for the scandals, his parents seem to believe otherwise, pointing fingers at his wife instead.
In what everyone calls a dig at their daughter-in-law, Colorado-based pastor Kenny Batson recalls Michelle Duggar shared some lessons about infidelity and she took aim at wives who fail to keep their husbands happy.
‘Marriage Is Intimacy’
“Ladies, your husband can get his laundry done by other women, he can have his meal cooked by other women, he can have all kinds of things done for him by other women, but there’s only one woman who can meet that strong need he has that God put in him, and it’s you. Only you, lady,” Batson quoted the Duggar matriarch.
According to The Hollywood Gossip, the Duggars have long blamed Anna for Josh’s cheating. With this, many think the latest remarks is an indirect jeer for Anna for failing to meet Josh’s needs and therefore, causing him to look elsewhere to fill his desires.
“It is one of the greatest sins of women today, is a self-centered narcissistic view of how they are to have control of their bodies,” the pastor summed up Michelle’s comments. “The Bible says your body is not your own, sister. It is your husband’s.”
Apparently, the notion that women are equal to men and not subservient is something that the reality TV family don’t subscribe to.
Duggar News: Is Anna really to blame?
The last time we’ve heard, Anna was the victim of Josh’s infidelity. She wasn’t the one who went behind Josh’s back and she clearly didn’t wish for her husband to do it. It was heartbreaking, as Anna called it. The public expected her to walk away from the 29-year-old Duggar, yet she stood by him despite it all. They have both moved on and are now even expecting their fifth child.
The public expected her to walk away from the 29-year-old Duggar, yet she stood by him despite it all. They have both moved on and are now even expecting their fifth child. However, this doesn’t seem to be the case for Anna’s in-laws.
Michelle and Jim Bob are both patriarchal Christians. They believe women are tasked to prevent men from having “sinful” sexual desires. The family urges women to dress modestly so that men won’t sexually desire them, and they prohibit women from having any kind of sexual contact with men before they get married. But they believe women should always say yes to sex once they tie the knot.
What do you think of the latest Duggar news? Is Michelle Duggar insinuating that Anna is to blame for their son’s indiscretions?
