Sony finally reveals the official release date of their console-exclusive racing game DRIVECLUB from Evolution Studios. The development team has also released a new gameplay video to show how much graphical muscle, the game will showcase.
The game Drive Club was originally planned to be released along with the Console Launch, but it was pushed to early 2014 due to the many technical ?aspects of the game?s core mechanics, especially the game?s social features, that needed more work. The developers decided to delay the game?s release a bit more to have additional time on smoothing out the edges. This is something that didn?t see coming and it took longer than anybody expected, which caused the game to be delayed into almost a year?s span.
?The problem with being ambitious is you have to be prepared to accept there will be challenges along the way. What DRIVECLUB offers has not been previously achieved in this category and because of this, the team needed more time to give you the game you?re waiting for?
What DRIVECLUB has to offer though, is a bit unclear for now. With how the game will feel, whether it?d be an arcade racer or a simulation, might have also attributed to the game?s release date delay.
The game development is now also being overseen by a new director, named Paul Rustchynsky, who have also worked on games like Motor Storm RC. He has been with the team who were working on DRIVECLUB since February 2014. He has been working with Evolution since 2004.
The game will finally be available this October 7th in North America, 8th in Europe, and 10th in the United Kingdom.
A game this pretty is better off released late than never, and by watching the trailer/gameplay video below, you?ll find out that the it is worth all the wait, and the game will justify all the delays it had on its way to the market.
