Drake and Taylor Swift are making the news rounds?once again. It seems the two are getting seriously close working on their music collaboration. Reports are going around that the rapper is there full support to record the Bad Blood singer’s upcoming album for it to have an edgier feel.
According to The Sun, Swift hired Drake to help her create new music. A source tells the outlet, “Taylor is always looking at ways to grow as an artist. She really wants to try something different and unexpected for the next album. It’s really a mix of edgier hip-hop and R&B sounds…Drake is writing with Taylor, he’s producing a few tracks and even lent his vocals to one song.”
The release of Bad Blood, a collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, was such a big success. The insider says that’s one of the reasons Swift wants to go in that direction for her new record. The source revealed, “The remix of her song ‘Bad Blood’ had a less pop vibe and was a big hit. So she thinks her fans will like her going in this direction. She’s not afraid of experimenting so is working with a lot of different faces to see if she suits a new sound.”
From Country to Pop to Hip-Hop
Back in the day, nobody believed that she could switch from country to pop. She did an amazing job doing that so perhaps her pop to hip-hop transition will reap the same amount of success. Finally, the source said the real reason why Swift chose Drake to become her partner is that “Drake has been her friend for a while. And it seemed a no-brainer that she would spend time in the studio with him. They share a real connection over their love of music and studio time and got on very well.”
A few weeks back, the online photo of them leaving a resto sparked dating rumors. A lot of fans speculated that the two were really into each other. Especially after how they were seen very cozy during Drake?s 30th birthday bash. However, there was no evidence to prove their relationship is going beyond platonic. Perhaps all the hype is just meant to excite the fans regarding the new music they?re collaborating on. We?ll just have to wait and see.
