Dragon Quest 11 and a slew of new titles from the franchise has just been revealed by Square Enix in a press conference as Dragon Quest nears its 30th anniversary.?A total of three new Dragon Quest games and a PS4 release for Dragon Quest 10 has been announced. This generous showing from Square Enix has excited fans of the series and what?s more surprising is that they are considering the game to release on the Nintendo NX, the yet to be released successor of the Wii U.

All these new games have yet to be announced if they?re releasing outside Japan, but Square Enix told Eurogamer that they are considering to release it in other countries.? ?We don?t have a concrete plan at the moment. However, we will consider it as we?ve done in the past for other Dragon Quest titles. We don?t have further information to share at the moment,? Square Enix said.

Here are all the Dragon Quest Updates from Square Enix:

Dragon Quest 11

The latest Dragon Quest game will be releasing on the PlayStation 4 (PS4), Nintendo 3DS, and is penciled to release on the Nintendo NX. The PS4 and Nintendo 3DS versions of the game will differ in both graphics in gameplay, Gematsu reported, but both will use the Unreal Engine 4. Both versions are yet to be announced with a release date.

PS4 Version: The dragon Quest 11 PS4 version will be worked on by the Square Enix team with the aid of Japanese developer Orca. The open-world nature of the game looks stunning and will be utilizing the same looks and style of Dragon Quest 8. You can see the PS4 version below. The game is said to feature the tradition RPG mechanics from the Dragon Quest games.

3DS Version: This version will be worked on by the Dragon Quest 11 PS4 team and supported by Toylogic, the team who brought Kid Icarus: Uprising. The 3DS version will be having a different approach in gameplay from the PS4 version and will be utilizing retro graphics and a top-down view. This version will utilize the dual screen functionality of the Nintendo device and you can switch between 3D and 2D graphics in the game.

Dragon Quest Heroes 2

The sequel to the Dragon Quest games that utilizes a similar gameplay from Dynasty Warriors and Hyrule Warriors has been announced. The game will have a four player multiplayer mode. Dragon Quest Heroes will be launching in Japan next spring for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita, Destructoid reported. Gamers outside Asia have yet to play the original (unless you imported it) as the original game, Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree?s Woe and the Blight Below, is still to release in North America and Europe this December.

Dragon Quest: Builders

The look and building mechanics of Minecraft has been combined with Dragon Quest. Just like in Minecraft, you?ll be able to build with blocks along with elements the JRPG elements from Dragon Quest. You can see the Dragon Quest spinoff in action below.

Dragon Quest X for PS4

The online-only Dragon Quest game will be releasing for the PS4. A Nintendo NX release is also penciled. Producer Yosuke Saito said they are still to make more announcements for the game for Dragon Quest?s 30th anniversary.

?Dragon Quest X Online will celebrate its third year since release this year [sic], but with Dragon Quest approaching its 30th anniversary, there is still more to come,? Saito said as reported and translated by Gematsu.
