Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Update: One More Character Confirmed; Milk Delivering and Turtle Stone Hunting Side Quests Revealed

By on

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a little more than a month away. The sequel to the RPG/Fighting Game hybrid has even more content than originally revealed. Aside from more parallel quests, characters and a bigger hub world, there are also side quests and one new character. This game might be packed to the brim with content, and that’s excluding DLC.

It’s quite clear that Bandai Namco has been listening to the fans and critics. More content is never a bad thing, and there could be even more new characters to come. While the game’s combat system remains unchanged, the 1080p/60fps should make battles flashier.

Nailed It

Nail has been confirmed as a playable character. This was the Namekian who?fused with Piccolo during the Frieza arc. He was never too important in the series, but he should make an interesting addition. The last time he was a playable character was in Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2 for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Proof of Nail in the game was shown in a V-Jump magazine scan by YouTuber Saiyan Gamer. The scan also shows the return of Goku and Vegeta’s Super Saiyan Blue forms from Resurrection F. They were DLC in the first game and it’s nice to see them return in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Bulma and Dende have also been revealed as important side characters.

Got Milk?

Training with other characters has returned, but with a bit of a Karate Kid-style twist. Instead of just battling and learning techniques, players will also have to do mundane favors for them. According to Siliconera, this includes delivering milk for Krillin and hunting Turtle Stones at Yamcha’s request. It doesn’t sound glamorous, but it does add some variety to the game.

Other characters from Dragon Ball will likely ask for help like this as well. It will be interesting to see what they have in store for the player. Here is hoping it’s not all fetch quests or mundane chores.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is slated for an October 25 release for North America. The game will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One on that date. The PC version comes out on October 28, just like the European version of the console games. Pre-ordering the game grants players early access to Goku Black from Dragon Ball Super. ?
