Last week Bandai Namco released a Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 update that fixed various problems in the game. However, it seems like the next update will be even better than that. A promise was made to support the game for a year with free content outside of the season pass DLC. It seems like that the promise will be kept with the most recent announcement.
Saiyan Island has reported that the next update would add new mentors to the game. In addition to that, new versions of existing characters will be added to the game. New techniques and items have also been confirmed, making it one of the best free updates for the game. Here is hoping we see more of these as the year goes on.
The new mentors included in the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 update are the following:
- Android 16
- Future Gohan
Of all these mentors, Android 16 might be the most interesting. As of this writing, his ultimate move is exclusive to him alone. This is most likely due to the animation used for his ?Hellflash? move, as he removes his arms and blasts the foe. Now that this update is coming, it’s likely that the developers in Dimps were able to add a new animation for created characters.
Learning moves from the other characters should be good fun. While players can get Future Gohan’s ultimate move now, it has to be obtained via the weekend only TP Store. Patient players should wait for this update.
The Rest Of The Best
Also confirmed for the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 update are six new accessories, 24 techniques and 10 Frieza army outfits that can be won on a raid. Speaking of which, the Frieza raid will also be part of the massive update. It will likely be similar to the Janemba one, but with Frieza and his cronies like Zarbon and Dodoria, along with the Ginyu Force.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Currently, the only confirmed paid DLC characters are Frost and Kyabe (or Cabba) from Dragon Ball Super. Goku Black will also be available as a DLC character, now that pre-ordering can’t be done anymore.
