The newest Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 update has brought back some life to the popular anime game. At around 1 GB, the most touted thing about the update was new variations for SSGSS Goku and Hit. It seems like there was more to the patch than that, however, as a number of other improvements have also been made.
Expert Missions On Map
Prior to the update, Expert Missions could not be seen in the game’s map. This made looking for them very troublesome since players would have to look everywhere in Conton City. Thankfully, that has been fixed and they now appear as purple dots in the map. Players that want to grind and gain some TP medals will be thankful for this.
Increased Loot Drop
While the loot drop system is miles better than the first game, there were certain prizes that were nearly impossible to obtain. One example of this is Heat Dome Attack, the ultimate move of Future Trunks. The Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 update has fixed this and the move should be easier to obtain now, taking one or two tries.
As soon as the player starts his or her game, they will receive some notifications, one of them about the Frieza event. This has been teased for some time and it looks like it’s going to be in full effect soon. Apparently, Frieza’s forces will randomly attack the city and players will have to stop them. So far, these events haven’t happened yet, but it looks like it will be happening soon.
Players that want to be paired up with other fighters of even skill can now look for Match Makers around the hub world. There are three types of Match Maker machines, one for Beginners, another for intermediates and the last one for experts. It’s a great option for those that aren’t too confident in their skills or are overly confident.
The Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 update is available now on PS4 and Xbox One. An update for the Steam version will be out soon, though no date was given. Bandai Namco will release the first DLC pack on December 20, which adds Cabba and Frost to the playable roster.
