It looks like the almighty Shenron has just granted some wishes for fans. The new Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 update is available now and has a ton of free content. Players will be able to use new variations of Hit and SSGSS Goku, both of whom now have transformation states.
While having these new characters is great, there will also be more customization options for custom characters. There will be new costumes to dress in and new mentors who will be able to teach players new moves. Overall, the free update is great and should keep players busy till the first DLC pack comes in five days.
Hit Me With Your Best Shot
Adding a new variation of Hit for the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 update was a smart move. The assassin will be one of the main focuses in the next Dragon Ball Super arc, so this is timely. Giving the SSGSS version of Goku the Kaioken transformation was also a cool move since it adds some visual flare.

Bandai Namco released a new video for the update on Twitter, and it seems like Hit will also have some new moves. He uses a counter on Goku that isn’t in the regular variation of the character, so that’s worth noting. The new SSGSS Goku variation also has God Fist in his move set, so that’s interesting.
The Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 update will be adding five new mentors to the game:
- Android 16
- Future Gohan
As players of the game know, each mentor has a total of four moves to teach the player. So this is 20 new moves in total that can be learned from these characters. It will be interesting to see how Android 16 trains characters, since some of his moves include distorting his limbs. He is an Android after all.
Hit will be a mentor in the first paid DLC pack, so fans can learn even more new moves. It seems like Bandai Namco is sticking to their promise of supporting the game for a full year. Here is hoping that another free Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 update will be coming soon.
