Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: New Character Customization Features Showcased In Video

By on

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is nearly here. The RPG/Fighting game hybrid will be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 25. While the game is almost here, Bandai Namco has decided to reveal more info about the sequel. Instead of focusing on new characters, the footage from the Tokyo Game Show is about character customization options.

Admittedly, players don’t get too see anything new. While the game will have a ton of new attires, the footage features clothes from the first game. That’s not a bad thing, since new clothes have been showcased in other trailers. Still, it might be disappointing for those who want more.

Super Changes?

One cool aspect with pausing the game is the custom avatar. In the first game, pausing would merely bring players to the menu. In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, we get to see the custom avatar bring out a virtual computer ala Iron Man. It’s a minor aspect, but it?s a nice touch.

Aside from this, the pause menu doesn’t seem to have changed much. According to a translation from Saiyan Island, the pause menu has the following options:

  • Change
  • Modify Skills
  • Improve Attributes
  • Change Battle Items
  • Chat
  • Presets

Most of these were in the first game. It seems like most of the changes will be the additional clothes and skills that can be earned. That should be enough for most Dragon Ball fans.

BINGO!!

The short video might not have much new content, but some new taunts were shown. While the basic hello wave was shown, we also saw the bingo dance from Battle of the Gods. For those unaware, this was the dance that Vegeta did to please Beerus, the God of Destruction.

Beerus has a short temper and has destroyed things for petty reasons. This is why the Saiyan prince decided to do the dance. It’s one of the movie’s more memorable moments, along with the ?That’s my Bulma? moment.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 comes out on October 25. The game will be available on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Those who pre-order the game will get early access to Goku Black. The Dragon Ball Super character isn’t pre-order exclusive anymore and will be available sometime after the game has launched.
