Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 just got more interesting. Just when it seemed like all of the new characters have been revealed, Bandai Namco have unveiled two new ones: Majin Vegeta and Metal Cooler. Granted, the term ?new?might not hold up, since they’re different versions of existing characters, but they should be fun to play as nonetheless. There is also a new online mode that fans will definitely have fun with.
Majin Vegeta and Metal Cooler were revealed during a gaming event in Chile, according to Saiyan Island. The slide showed the two characters, along with a bunch of the new ones that were already confirmed, like Future Gohan and Android 16 among others. Soon enough, a screenshot of Majin Vegeta was revealed, showing the iconic moment where he sacrificed himself to destroy Majin Buu.
There are currently no screenshots or gameplay videos with Metal Cooler, though fans can probably expect a new trailer showcasing the two characters soon. Both characters have their fans, though Majin Vegeta is arguably more popular, since he was the most powerful version of the character at one point, until the Resurrection F film.
A new online mode has also been revealed for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, as six players can now form a team and take on a Great Ape. It’s not the most complex game mode, but it’s something fans will enjoy since teaming up with friends is always fun and the Great Ape is the only giant enemy in the game. It’s definitely a fun addition to the game, especially for Dragon Ball Z fans.
Online play will be a bigger deal this year, so it will be interesting to see if other new modes are announced as the game nears its release date. Those that don’t like online play have nothing to worry about, since it will also be playable offline like the first game.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is coming to the PS4 and Xbox One on October 25. The game will come to PC three days later on October 28. Fans who pre-order a physical or digital copy of the game can gain exclusive access to Goku Black from Dragon Ball Super.
