Midway through February and we finally have some new details about the free Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC pack. Fans already know that Champa and Vados are in the second paid DLC pack, along with a new story scenario. This is the first time we will be hearing about the second free DLC pack, which should please Xenoverse players.

According to a video from Dragon Ball fan Rhymestyle, the free DLC update will mostly comprise of movie-themed costumes. These outfits are modelled out of movie characters like Bojack’s crew, Metal Cooler and Android 15 of all people. No release date has been revealed, but the developers insist that it will be out this month.

Attires Unbound

While not as intriguing as the first free Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC, the upcoming pack still has some promise. The costumes might not be liked – Android 15’s in particular – but the new attacks should make up for that. Plus, players can always mix and match the clothes anyway, so these new ones could look good with others.

Oddly enough, while Bojack’s crew was shown off in the scan, his suit wasn’t shown off for some reason. This could indicate that he’ll be a playable character, but it’s too early to say for sure if that is the case. DLC characters planned for the third pack of the game are Super Saiyan Rose’ Goku Black, Zamasu and SSGSS Vegito.

Mystery Of The DLC

The lack of a release date for the free Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC is bothersome, but at least new details have been revealed. Fans still have two more DLC packs to look forward to, plus free updates that com with each paid pack. It would be great if we see characters from the Universal Survival Arc, but that storyline just started in Dragon Ball Super, so it’s doubtful.

Admittedly, the costumes are a wee bit disappointing, since the last free DLC gave fans new mentors and attacks. Still, that could always be resolved with the next DLC pack that comes out, whenever that will be. Here is hoping that the Goku Black arc also gets a story scenario in the game, since these are usually good fun.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now on the PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The first DLC pack is available for download, giving fans access to Cabba and Frost, along with new missions. Players can get all of the DLC with a discount by buying the US$29.99 season pass.
