While it has been available officially on Crunchy Roll, fans cannot wait for the English dub of Dragon Ball Super. Slated for a January 7 premiere, the original cast from Dragon Ball Z Kai return and lend their iconic voices. Given the excitement this has caused, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see new Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC announced on the same day.
It is a huge momentum boost for the series after all. Bandai Namco would be wise to capitalize on all the buzz Super will get by announcing new Xenoverse 2 content on that day. Currently, the only DLC fans know about is the first pack with Frost and Cabba.
Super Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC?
Considering that the game mostly takes place in the Z timeline, it will be interesting to see if more Super content is announced. Dragon Ball Super characters who are in the game include: Future Trunks, Goku Black, Hit, Beerus, Whis and Jaco. Cabba and Frost will join them as DLC.
There is a free Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC update that adds new variations for Hit and SSGSS Goku. Hit will be able to use a transformation, while Goku will be able to use Kaioken in his SSGSS form. New mentors like Future Gohan, and Android 16 will also be available as a free update, which is pretty great for free content.
Dragon Ball Z Kai DLC?
Along with Dragon Ball Super, Toonami will finally air the Dragon Ball Z Kai version of the Buu saga. Kai has always lessened the filler so that the experience would be smoother for newer and returning fans. Perhaps we’ll see the versions of Buu that absorbed Gohan, Gotenks and Piccolo? Fans would rather see a Goku Black that turns Super Saiyan Rose though.
Either way, fans can expect the last three Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC packs in 2017. The first pack is expected to come out on December 20. Cabba, Frost and a ton of new moves will be in the first pack, along with a few new Parallel Quests. Here is hoping future DLC adds some new story elements. ?
