Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC: Kid Goku, Cell 2nd Form, And More Characters We Might See

By on

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 looks like a huge improvement over the original game. The sequel now has plenty of new characters and the option to fly or ride a vehicle while exploring the city. The game will also have more Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC than the previous one, with fans wondering who they will see in the season pass. Judging from this interview, it seems like the developers are still working on them and might even be taking fan requests.

An interview with The Ninja Spooky revealed that we won’t be seeing some characters in the main disc of the game. The developer stated that we won’t see any characters from the original Dragon Ball, like Kid Goku, Kid Krillin or Master Roshi. We also won’t see the second form of Cell ? despite his first form being in the game ? or any of Frieza’s pre-final transformations, which is pretty disappointing.

However, the developer stated that fan demand could change that. This means there’s a decent chance that the game could have these characters as Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC, which is something fans will appreciate. The original Dragon Ball hasn’t received much love in the video game realm, and it would be nice to see characters from that series as DLC for the game.

Oddly enough, while the sequel won’t have any original Dragon Ball characters in the disc, it will have fighters from Dragon Ball GT, a series that?s no longer considered canon. This includes a version of Goku that was turned into a kid, Super 17 and Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta, who was a pre-order exclusive in the last game. While the series did have fans, the lack of content for the original Dragon Ball is baffling.

One of these forms isn’t in the game.

The lack of transformations for Frieza and Cell are disappointing. The latter, in particular, is an odd decision since we will see his first and final forms in the game, but not his second. Here is hoping that the game’s DLC fixes these problems.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is slated for an October 25 release on PS4 and Xbox One, with a PC release coming in October 25. There will also be a season pass that costs US$29.99 for those who want all of the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC.
