As fans wait for Dragon Ball FighterZ, it looks like there is more Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 content coming. While many assumed that DLC Pack 4 was the game’s last hurrah, the developers have confirmed that an expansion pass is coming soon. Details on the pass are slim to none, but it’s good to see Xenoverse get more support before the next game comes along.
YouTube personality Rhymestyle confirmed the news for the expansion pass, stating that the official Japanese website made the official announcement. While nothing about the pass has been revealed, he did express interest in seeing the absorbed forms of Majin Buu, particularly the form he took when he absorbed Ultimate Gohan. Until Dimps or Bandai Namco announce the details, anything is possible for this expansion pass, so the eventual details should be interesting.
DLC for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 focused more on adding characters and story chapters from the current anime Dragon Ball Super. Characters like Super Saiyan Rose’ Goku Black, Zamasu, Frost, Cabba and more were added as DLC, so the expansion could add even more Super characters. It’s doubtful any of them will come from the Universal Survival arc, but it would be great seeing some of those new characters.
Other frequently asked characters include original Dragon Ball fighters like Kid Goku, Kid Chi Chi, King Piccolo and much more. Missing transformations for Cell, Freeza and Zarbon have also been requested, especially since Cell has his first and last form in the game. The lack of a second form has infuriated some fans, so the expansion pass could rectify any wrongs made.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC, with a Nintendo Switch version coming soon. All four DLC Packs are available now and can be purchased by getting the US$29.99 season pass.
