Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is already better than the first game. The fact that it has a much bigger hub city and more customization options proves that. It seems like developer Dimps isn’t just content with outdoing the first game, as there are even more improvements. Expert Missions is one of them.
As most fans know by now, Expert missions have players team with six others to defeat a big boss. Those expecting these big bosses to simply stand around and take hits are wrong. These massive foes have all kinds of attacks, including a fairly interesting brainwashing attack. This was briefly seen in the most recent trailer but has now been expanded upon.
Players that get hit by a brainwashing attack will end up in a different dimension. In that dimension, the player will have to fight a mirror version of his or her custom avatar. These mirror clones have the exact same attacks as the player, so gamers better dispatch them quickly. It’s definitely one of the more interesting features in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
Even more interesting is the aftermath. According to WCCFTech, the mirror clone of the player can join the enemy team, making the mission much harder. Still, it’s a nice bit of variety from the regular fights in the game. It also encourages teamwork among the six players in the various Expert Missions.
Parallel Quests and Exploring
There will also be more Parallel Quests than in the first game. Considering the hundreds of quests that were available, this is saying a lot. The addition of new characters like Turles, Lord Slug and Future Gohan should make these missions more interesting. The previous game’s Parallel Quests had players siding with heroes and villains, which won’t likely change in the sequel.
Canton City is the new central hub and is seven times bigger than Toki Toki City. In addition to the central hub, players will also be able to explore New Namek and Frieza’s Spaceship.
