Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: Black Goku From Dragon Ball Super Confirmed As Pre-Order Character

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Bandai Namco has unveiled the pre-order character for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, and it?s captured the attention of many an anime fan: Black Goku. The mysterious villain who made his debut in Dragon Ball Super will be making his very first video game appearance in Xenoverse 2.

Interestingly enough, Bandai Namco doesn’t call the character Black Goku. The image in Gematsu merely states that he is a character from Dragon Ball Super, which is interesting. The villain himself hasn’t been fleshed out much in the new series, making him one of the more intriguing Dragon Ball baddies in quite some time.

Those who pre-order the deluxe edition will gain access to Future Trunks from the new anime. He is different from the Trunks that appeared in the Cell Saga and is the one who?s been trying to take down Black Goku but to no avail. Given how popular Trunks was before the new storyline started, it?s expected that there will be a lot of preorders for the edition.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will also have a season pass, which is immediately available to those who buy the deluxe edition of the game. The pass will have four packs which promise to add even more characters to the game. Given how we’ve seen Black Goku and Future Trunks as DLC, there’s a good chance that we will see even more characters from the recent anime series.

Future Trunks and Black Goku join a ton of new characters who were not in the first Xenoverse game. Players will be able to play as Lord Slug, Turles, Super Janemba, Gogeta and Future Gohan. Fans can expect more characters to be announced as the game reaches its release date in the coming months.

Aside from new characters, the sequel to the first Xenoverse has added some new gameplay additions. There is now a homing charge that will make it easier to catch up with opponents that were flung in the air. Players can also fly around Toki Toki City, something that couldn’t be done in the first game.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 comes to current-gen consoles on October 25 in North America and October 28 in Europe. The PC version will get a worldwide release on October 28 as well.
