Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 update 1.07 is out now and adds some free content for fans of the game. The update will also add support for tomorrow’s DLC Pack 3, which adds three new characters to the game. Judging from fan reaction, it seems like the free content is worthwhile, though not as impactful as the paid DLC.

Fans on Reddit have been reporting their findings and the results should please those that enjoy Dragon Ball Super. After a lifetime of requests, the attire for Goku Black can finally be worn by the player’s custom avatar. If that wasn’t enough, it seems like players can also wear the same outfit Zamasu sports, which is pretty great.

New Moves

Players have been able to confirm that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 update 1.07 has some Goku Black moves. However, the moves belong to the base Goku Black that was a pre-order bonus, not his Super Saiyan Rose’ form. Soon enough, players will be able to give their custom fighters Aura Slide and Black Kamehameha, two heavily requested moves.

Oddly enough, the two attacks haven’t appeared in the weekend-only TP Medal shop, which has worried a few fans. Gamers have confirmed that they have to be wished for from Shenron, just like Hit’s Super and Ultimate attacks. Players will have to grind a while to pull this off, but the reward seems to be worth it.

Guru Knows Best

Once the update has been installed, players might want to pay a visit to Guru to get some new things. Fans on Reddit are speculating that he will let the players wish for the brand new Goku Black moves. In addition to this, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 update 1.07 will also raise the level cap to 95.

Whether it’s a prelude to DLC Pack 3, or just a way to increase replayability, the free update has succeeded. Some fans will definitely want to grind and max their level out to 95, while others will exploit Expert Missions for TP Medals. Overall, it should add plenty of interest to the game until the final DLC pack comes out, whenever that is.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now on the PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Players that are interested in the DLC can purchase the season pass for US$29.99. Dragon Ball Super characters like Cabba, Frost, Champa and Vados are already available for download.
