Valve recently dropped a huge Dota 2 update that brought a lot of changes. This is the MOBA?s biggest update after Dota 2 Reborn and there?s a lot to dig into with the 6 GB patch. Players have mixed reactions to Dota 2 7.00. What are the pros and cons of the latest Dota version?
One of the biggest visual changes in Dota 2 7.00 is the huge overhaul to the menu and the UI. Both changes to the game?s interface is pretty sleek and easy to browse through. The UI is very reminiscent of the one in League of Legends. Still, it offers players a better view of the map, and being allowed to customize the UI is a pretty good feature as well.
Gameplay-wise, players are loving the new Aghanim?s Scepter upgrades. Upgrades like that of Slark and Chaos Knight really jumble up the game when used properly. Though a bit overpowered at times, the new Scepter upgrades are still counterable with proper teamwork.
Another big addition are the Talents. At levels 10, 15, 20 and 25, players can pick Talents which are passive upgrades to heroes. Talents are good in a sense that they can broaden the role of heroes. With proper Talent picking, even Supports can be decent Carries.
The biggest con of the recent Dota 2 overhaul is the bugs. Players are discovering more and more bugs in the game. So far, the most annoying bug is one that concerns the game?s chat box. Players are currently facing troubles communicating with each other. The good thing is that Valve can easily sort out the bugs with another update.
Overall, the recent Dota 2 version is a decent upgrade to the game. All that?s left now is to wait for Valve to fix all the big issues.
