Doctor Strange is getting a one-shot manga in this year?s 52nd issue of Kodansha?s Weekly Shonen Magazine. The manga is said to be a prequel to Marvel Studio?s Doctor Strange Movie starring Benedict Cumberbatch. Hurray for Marvel and Manga fans!

The manga prequel will have the title Doctor Strange Episode 0 and will feature the backstory of Dr. Stephen Strange before his accident and before he learns about the mystical arts. This will be during his early years as a neurosurgeon in New York City. The story will follow his troubles with coworkers and patients. Episode 0 will be published on November 22 in Japan.

The manga is created by Haruichi, an Excellent Rookie Award winner in the young division of the 70th Tetsuya Chiba Award. Doctor Strange Episode 0 will be his debut work. Haruichi said in a statement that he approached the job with love. ?The film itself has a 200 percent fun, but with the power of my manga, I want to exceed your expectation as much as possible. I will draw with all my love for Marvel. Look forward to it!”

Doctor Strange Movie premiered in selected theatres worldwide on November 4 and will soon hit Japan on January 27, 2017.
