Disney Infinity: Marvel Superheroes Update From Joe Quesada ; Features Avengers: Thor, Hawkeye, Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow and the Hulk

Marvel.com released more information, from Joe Quesada, CEO of Marvel himself, on the new Marvel Game that will feature the Avengers. The game, ?Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes? is a follow up on the 2013 Disney Infinity game that featured virtual adventures combined with collectable toys.

Avengers “Re-Assemble” seems to be the new battle cry for the world’s greatest superheroes. After Lego: Marvel Super Heroes, the cast of Thor, Hawkeye, Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow and the Hulk, will headline the new Disney Infinity game titled ?Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes.?

The game brings back a unique kind of interactive experience where players can use exquisitely sculpted hero figures, and bring them to life (in-game, that is), by putting them in a portal like accessory.

The new game however will not be featuring light and tame fun activities, involving pink princesses and polite pirates, but heart pumping action that only the Avengers can deliver.

Marvel CEO Joe Quesada, categorically states that the new game will not be a ?Disney Infinity? with merely new costumed characters, but a game that will be as exciting as the Avengers comic books, TV shows, and movies.

Quesada adds that ? Like anything we do, we have been involved from the very beginning with the ?Infinity? team and they?ve been amazing to work with; it has really been an incredible collaboration…..There?s a very synergistic approach to how we do things, especially when they are mass media efforts like this where we have a particular idea of what?characters?and what concepts we want to put our efforts behind. So we are very, very involved, even in the character designs, the character looks, the poses, everything to make it very distinctly Marvel, within the context of the world of ?Infinity,? so that it doesn?t look it?s coming out of a different universe.?

This partnership between Disney Infinity and Marvel has given birth to a fantastic set of figurines that would make any Marvel fan proud to display on his bookshelf, as well as utilize for Xbox action, day in and day out.

For the starter pack of ?Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes?, the figures of Black Widow, Thor, and Iron Man will be included. For those who want the other figures, including Spider Man and Rocket Raccoon, they can avail of them separately.

The game will also offer Power Discs and Play sets.

The Power Discs enable players to add perks, items and ?powers? into the game, by placing the discs on the ?infinity? base. Powers would include, among many others, Cap’s Sky Cycle as well as a Hulk ?powered-up? Smash Attack.

The Play Sets will include expanded campaigns that are story driven, and may last up to 4 to 6 hours. Iconic comic book writer Brian Michael Bendis will be behind the ?Play Sets? storyline, and Marvel promises that comic book fans will not be disappointed.

Quesada jokingly adds, that next to him, Bendis might be the only other person who knows more about Marvel, and, he highlights the involvement of Bendis, by saying that ?He?s an amazing talent, so bringing him to ?Infinity,? to me, shows how devoted the ?Infinity? team is to making sure that this game is as Marvel-ly?as it can possibly be.?

?Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes? will hit fans all over the world this fall in PC, Wii U, Playstation 3 and 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
