Dishonored 2: Is the Game Really Coming?

By on

The highly awaited Gamescom 2014 is almost upon us, with the promise of Dishonored 2 being unveiled during the event. A lot of gamers are hoping that it will finally be made available to the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One next year.

But is there any truth to these whispers?

We certainly hope so, as we have all been expecting it, after game developer Bethesda?s claims about it, being transformed into a major franchise.

Back in March this year, rumors about a Dishonored sequel entitled ?Darkness of Tyvia? circulated after an E3 slide was shown. However, they died down particularly after the fact sheet didn?t materialize.

With the annual Gamescom coming up though, these rumors are now back. One major contributor is NowGamer, after it released details, that were said to came from an anonymous insider.

According to the report, Dishonored 2 is already in the works, with the lead being given to Harvey Smith. A new star protagonist is also allegedly going to appear. The identity has not been confirmed though.

The sad fact is, this news dates back a year ago, which means that accurate conclusions can no longer be drawn from it.

But that?s just first of the whispers going around.

The other rumor that has gotten gamers all excited is that Darkness of Tyvia is real, and that it will be available next year, most likely by November, to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

This news came from, again, another anonymous tipster, who sent the details via email. Identity, once again, has not been confirmed.

In other words, while all of us are hoping that the release of Dishonored 2 will soon come, we cannot really get too excited about it, especially since we do not want to be disappointed again and again every time that these rumors are just that ? RUMORS. ?
