An Amazon listing of the third Dishonored novel was recently discovered. The novel page’s description hints at more content for the video game series, which could be for a new Dishonored 2 DLC.
“Dishonored Novel 3”
As seen on Amazon, the third Dishonored novel from Adam Christopher was posted on the site. Christopher also worked on a novel that bridges the events of the first game to Dishonored 2. The page barely has any details outside a summary that confirms its connection to Dishonored 2. Just like the second novel scheduled for an August 29 release, the third novel follows after the events of Dishonored 2.
Waiting for the First DLC
The novel listing on Amazon mentions that the third novel will tie into the “additional digital content” of the main game. Potentially, this listing hints at a year of post-launch DLC for Dishonored 2. However, no exact release dates were mentioned, which means more waiting for the fans. The third Dishonored novel is the last installment in the three-part series of Adam Christopher.
The game’s fans are still waiting for any announcements for substantial DLC since it released last November 2016. Arkane Studios still hasn’t talked about Dishonored 2 DLC even after the studio just released their latest game, Prey. The developer’s best chance to announce more DLC details is at E3 2017 next month.
Dishonored DLC Releases
The first Dishonored DLC was more of a standalone expansion featuring its own main character. Daud, the assassin who killed Jessamine Kaldwin, was the main character of this story. Both the Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches DLC follows his story after he assassinated the Empress. Dishonored 2’s main villain, Delilah Copperspoon, also appears in The Brigmore Witches DLC, which sets her character up for the second game.
If Arkane Studios follows the same style, the upcoming Dishonored 2 DLC will feature a new character other than Emily and Corvo. Potentially, Meagan Foster, whose real name is Billie Lurk, might be Dishonored 2’s DLC protagonist. At the end of Dishonored 2, she returns to her life as a skilled assassin and sets off to find Daud again. Her reasons for seeking this person that’s “the closest thing she’d ever known to family’ might be explained in this DLC. For now, we’ll have to wait for more announcements to see whose tale we’ll follow in Dishonored 2.
