Bethesda has released a massive Dishonored 2 demo for all systems, which could encourage players to buy the game after. This is a big demo that gives players three missions to explore and even lets them carry over their progress. Considering that there are only nine missions in the game, Bethesda has essentially given a third of the game away.

While the demo is free, there is a big price to pay for downloading this demo and it’s the file size. Dishonored 2 is a big game, and it can be seen in the file size alone considering the demo weighs in around 40GB on PS4 and PC while the Xbox One version is at 50GB . It’s definitely something interested gamers won’t like, but the features the demo has might make it a good download for some.

Carry On

The biggest appeal of the Dishonored 2 demo is being able to carry your progress over into the main game. Doesn’t matter if it’s a physical or retail version, players will be able to continue from where they left off. Players can also choose between Emily and Korvo, so there is replayabilty for the demo and the main game.

For those unaware, Emily and Korvo have different stories and abilities that can be used for stealth and combat. Korvo retains the same abilities he had from the first game, though he did learn how to speak. Emily is the more enticing choice for returning fans, since her abilities are new and entirely different from Korvo’s.

Best Of Both Worlds

Having all of these perks makes the Dishonored 2 demo a must try for any gamer. Being able to keep your progress and continue it onto the main game is a fantastic option that other demos might want to learn from. Having to delete some data is going to be a pain for those low on storage space, unless players have a hard drive or two.

Dishonored 2 has gained plenty of acclaim since it’s release, with many calling it a great sequel and much better than the first game. The first game was also well-liked, though it didn’t get the same amount of acclaim as it’s sequel, which got plenty of awards. If players weren’t won over before, the demo could change their minds and get them to buy or rent the stealth title.

Players can download the Dishonored 2 demo now on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam. If they liked the game, they can purchase physical or digital copies of it.
