Diablo 3’s long awaited patch 2.4.3 is now live in the US for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One! The update will presumably be rolled out to Europe and Asia in short order, according to Blizzard. The players in those regions will be notified once the download becomes available.
Diablo 3 Update: The Darkening of Tristram
The highlight of the Diablo III Patch 2.4.3 is the Darkening of Tristram Event arriving as part of Blizzard’s 20-year anniversary. The event was first announced at last year’s BlizzCon. It takes players back in time to Diablo 1 and brings the 16-floor cathedral-dungeon from 1996 classic to Diablo 3.
Blizzard also brings the retro effects in the dungeon with features such as special graphics dubbed “Retro Vision” for a pixelated look, older-gen animations and sound effects. Moreover, the camera has been moved and everyone’s locked to eight degrees of rotation now.

The original Diablo event, however, is only available for the month of January. It will return in the future on the franchise’s anniversary according to Blizzard but will feature a “pre-cursor event” from January 1-3.
Other Patch Details
In addition to the Darkening of Tristram, the Diablo 3 Update brings the usual bug fixes, class balancing and lots of new items. These include the new Legendary and Set items which give players more powerful weapons and armour. The patch also brings a seventh piece of the Crusader’s Armor of Akkhan to the game, reports GameSpot.
However, players will have to acquire the items again to take advantage of the new powers. It also brings Greater Rifts, the end game in Diablo 3, with random levels and monsters and Season Journeys to the game. The Patch 2.4.3 is now available on the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls.
