Diablo 3 RoS Changes: Paragon Points, Leoric’s Crown, Salvage all Buttons and more

By on

As we move closer and closer to Diablo 3 RoS Patch 2.1 Live, the PTR is getting busier and busier. As of this article?s publishing date and time, Seasons and new Legendary items have been enabled on the test server.

Aside from the Seasonal Legendary Items, most of the existing skills, items and game mechanics have been changed as well. Here are the most notable tweaks on the Diablo 3 RoS PTR:

Nephalem Rifts

  • The cost to open a Nephalem Rift has been reduced from 5 Rift Fragments (total) to 1 Rift Fragment (per player)
    • Each player must pay the 1 Rift Fragment cost in order to enter a Nephalem Rift

  • Blacksmith
    • The number of Magic materials required to craft Legendary and set Bracers has been reduced from 120 to 72
    • New buttons have been added to salvage all normal, magic, or rare quality items in your inventory at once
      • These buttons unlock when the Blacksmith reaches maximum level

  • Leoric’s Crown
    • Legendary Power added
      • Increase the effect of any gem socketed into this item by 75-100%

  • Healing
    • The amount of Life on Hit granted by items and Paragon points has been further increased

  • General
    • Portals to the Treasure Realm can now only spawn in Adventure Mode at level 70
    • Cooldown Reduction now affects the recharge time of skills with charges

Looks like I need to hunt me some Skeleton King again. Can’t wait to try out a Flawless Royal Diamond or Amethyst on Leoric’s Crown. ?This means that you get up to 46% more Life, 23% faster cooldown rate and

After the Blizz devs changed the Life on Hit mechanic recently, they’ve also made Paragon Points put in Life on Hit add 82.5 HP for each point from the old measly value of 16.5. Life Regeneration has also climbed to 165.1 HP per point from the woeful old value of 33.

What do you think of the changes on the PTR? Here’s the full list of tweaks from the blog so you can see class-specific changes. Drop me a comment on how you’re liking (or hating) the changes on the Diablo 3 RoS PTR!
