The Devil May Cry franchise has not released any game in the last few years. Since 2001, Capcom has released Devil May Cry titles with an average gap of almost two years. The fourth installment in the series was released back in 2008, and then the studio released DmC: Devil May Cry in 2013. Now, after waiting for several years, fans have spotted something on Facebook that has sparked speculations about the release of Devil May Cry 5.
According to the French website Gameblog, the lead voice actor and motion capture actor who worked on Devil May Cry 4, posted a photograph on Facebook which has caught the attention of gamers. According to the source, Reuben Langdon and Johnny Bosch are featured in the photograph, and it seems that the duo is working together on a game. Fans should note that Bosch lent his voice to the game character Nero in the fourth installment of Devil May Cry.
However, the actors later removed the post from Facebook, but some avid Devil May Cry fans saved a copy of the photograph. It can be recalled that the last time the two were spotted together, we got DMC 4, so the recent photo may be a strong indication that the team is currently working on Devil May Cry 5.
However, Capcom has not officially confirmed the development of the game. In an interview with GodisGeek, Ninja Theory?s Dominic Matthews said that the studio is not working on Devil May Cry 5, but the latest report has raised hopes among fans. After all, Capcom is known for keeping things secret from fans and coming out with surprises.
One of the most interesting things about Devil May Cry is Capcom originally intended for it to be a sequel to the Resident Evil series, but the game was later transformed into an entirely separate franchise. Undoubtedly, if Devil May Cry 5 indeed comes out soon, it may receive huge support because the franchise still has a big fan base.
