The ?A Criminal?s Past? Deus Ex Mankind Divided DLC is promised to be released in early 2017. ?Currently, no official announcements confirm the DLC?s content and exact release date. Here?s what to expect from the upcoming Deus Ex Mankind Divided DLC.
A Criminal?s Past DLC
According to the Season Pass details on the game?s official site, the second Deus Ex Mankind Divided DLC, ?A Criminal?s Past,? is slated for an early 2017 release. Aside from that, players have no idea about the DLC as no official DLC announcements or release dates have been sent out yet. ?However, Square Enix has previously announced that the Deus Ex Mankind Divided DLC stories will focus on expanding the Deus Ex story.
Similar to System Rift?
The first Deus Ex Mankind Divided DLC, System Rift, featured Adam Jensen and Francis Pritchard on a mission way before the events of Mankind Divided. This DLC is aimed to fill the story between the Human Revolution and Mankind Divided when he transitioned from being a Sarif Industries bodyguard to a secret agent. Perhaps, the upcoming ?A Criminal?s Past? DLC will also cover more of this story gap before Jensen joins Task Force 29.
The new Deus Ex Mankind Divided DLC may also share System Rift?s separate expansion story. Players cannot bring their main-game progress to the DLC story and will just be given a Praxis Kit boost to start the story with. Mostly, this irks players who?ve cleared the story and come prepared with more augments to use in the DLC.
This design might be intended for the players who don’t want to replay the game up to a certain part just to experience the DLC. This is also possibly for the sake of those who want to keep a ?No Augment? playthrough and still cater to augment users too.
The DLC is expected to be released in 2017. No release dates have been announced yet so fans have to wait for it. If it gets released early in the first few months of 2017, players may have a similar experience to the System Rift DLC. However, Square Enix and Eidos may want to improve and release the game?s second DLC a bit late after the System Rift DLC?s inconvenient settings.
