It seems like the game, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is another Batman: Arkham Knight scenario. PC Gamers reports that they have been experiencing poor performance, hiccups and other disasters caused by the poor port optimization of the game.
Most of the players are having different kinds of problems, mostly frame rate drops everywhere even with the people who uses a high/mid-end systems. Even lowering the settings ?and disabling the mouse acceleration won?t fix the problem.
It?s apparent that Eidos tempted the PC users with sweet treats in order to trick them into pre-ordering the game before playing it and before they actually see how poor it will run. A large amount of the users already issued a refund.
On the other hand, most of the PC gamers are very angry about the Preorder-DLC issue. People were given a chance to acquire a bunch of DLCs in exchange of paying in advance for the game AKA Pre-Order.
However, most of the preorder bonuses or DLCs are for one-time use only, it will then be consumed and permanently disappear after a single use, AKA Consumables. Here?s some example, Ammo, Crafting Parts, Praxis Kits, and Credits.
It will be located in the storage window of the player?s inventory. However, once the players use?it, that?s it! It can never be used again. There are some permanent bonuses that can be used infinitely, it consists of Augmentations, Weapons, and Skins.
Rumors also speculate that these items aren?t designed for the main purpose of the game. It is rumored to be messing with the balance of the game if the player uses the said items.
Those items are considered to be microtransactions, a business technique that takes advantage of the players using virtual goods that can be bought with real world money. It is often used in Free-To-Play games, yet it is ?surprising for a triple-A Single-player game to have this kind of practice.
However, Eidos Community Manager stated that they haven?t and will never compromise the in game balance in order to force people into their microtransactions. He stated that the game is 100% balanced and works independently with the game?s microtransaction.
?Every available item that can be redeemed, can only be used for one save-game? says the community manager on their Reddit. However, most of the players aren?t happy with this kind of limitation.
Currently, there is a patch incoming for the PC users. It recommends lowering the graphical settings in order to make up for the loss of FPS and they claimed that it will be the solution to the game’s poor optimization.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
