Bungie is set to show off more of Destiny Rise of Iron at Gamescom this week. In a?blog post, community manager David ?Deej? Dague said you can catch a livestream of the show at 10 AM PT on Tuesday, August 16 right on?Bungie?s?Twitch channel.
The Crucible Takes Center Stage In Latest Destiny Rise of Iron Livestream
Multiplayer will be the main focus of the presentation. Destiny game designers Steve Cotton and Lars Bakken will be lifting the curtain on all the new content coming to The Crucible in Rise of Iron. Bungie has previously said that the history of the Iron Banner and its leader, Lord Saladin, will play a huge role in Destiny Rise of Iron?s narrative. We can only assume that this will carry over into the new Crucible maps and modes as well.
However, if PvP isn?t your thing, Deej?s announcement stressed that the stream will also showcase some new story and single player content as well.
?Not a warrior of the Crucible? You’ll still want to tune in. We’ll be screening a brand new Bungie ViDoc that will explore the entire Rise of Iron player experience, all up,? reads the blog post.
Based on previous Bungie announcements, we know that Rise of Iron will take place in a never-before-seen part of Old Russia known as the Plaguelands. The expansion will pit the Guardians against a mutated offshoot of the Fallen known as the Splicers. This new foe is excavating the area to uncover an ancient force with ties to the Iron Lords. A new social space known as Felwinter?s Peak is also being added.
