Several gamers are still enjoying Destiny?s beta. However, there are talks about possible sequels for Destiny and how it may affect the future of MMORPG’s.
According to Bungie engineer Roger Wolfson, there will be a possible sequel to the game. In an interview with Digital Trends, Wolfson stated some factors that might affect your gaming experience for Destiny.
?Predictably, a decade from now when we?re into the later sequels, we won?t still be on PS3 and Xbox 360, but the platform engineering we?ve done, the investment engineering we?ve done, is the most exciting thing to me,?
Also, Wolfson spoke about playing the sequel using the same characters that you have built during the beta. You will be able to polish your character and still retain its image and characteristics while entering a new battlefield.
?Our goal for?Destiny?is that each time you play it, you?re going to have a different experience. Not just because of the social interaction, and the fact that you can play with different people, but because your character is growing and will have different ways of playing the same content every time you go back and replay it.?
The thing is, once you have created a character, that character stays permanent. You might cross different platforms or enter new playgrounds but the character will remain playable. Also, even if there is indeed a sequel on development for Destiny, everything that your character possesses will also be carried out to the next game.
Destiny?s development team was actually predicting the future of gaming. Not only building a cloud-based profile systems but a new approach to MMORPG?s. Even if Destiny 3, Destiny 4, Destiny 5 and so on will be released, players do not need long hours to grind for levels. They can access their old account, release it to the game, and play their old characters like how they used to play it before.
