The upcoming Tribeca Games Film Festival this April 28 and 29 will have a “Keynote Conversation” with Death Stranding director Hideo Kojima. Potentially, Hideo Kojima may talk about his mysterious and bizarre project in this upcoming event. Fans who want to see him on-stage will need to have a Tribeca Games Festival pass and know when his scheduled appearance would be.
Kojima at Tribeca Games Festival
The official Tribeca Games Festival site confirms some important video game personalities set to appear in the event like Bioshock’s Ken Levine, Overwatch’s Michael Chu, and Death Stranding’s Hideo Kojima. Currently, Sony, Kojima, or Tribeca Games Festival haven’t confirmed any talks about Death Stranding during Kojima’s appearance at Tribeca. However, he may still provide some interesting insights even if he doesn’t talk about Death Stranding.
Where To Watch
Interested fans can avail of the Tribeca Games Festival tickets through its Eventbrite link. The ticket is effective only on April 29 and costs $40. Kojima’s talk is scheduled for April 29 from 5:30PM to 6:20 PM. Fans will definitely have to stick around to hear Kojima talk in this event.
As for online viewing, Tribeca has yet to announce if there will be any live streams for their first ever games festival. Back in 2013, Sony PlayStation held a two-hour live stream for Quantic Dream’s Beyond Two Souls at the Tribeca Film Festival. Another game that appeared at Tribeca Film Festival was Rockstar Games and Team Bondi’s L.A. Noire, though there was no live stream provided for public viewing.
The Tribeca Games Festival also has other notable video game developers. Stanley Parable creator Davey Wreden, Overwatch lead writer Michael Chu, and Max Payne creator Sam Lake will also appear in this upcoming event. Potentially, they may also have an announcement prepared for this event. Since the Tribeca Games Festival seems to focus on these people’s insights on the industry, it’s possible they won’t have any time to discuss their future plans.
Death Stranding So Far
Currently, fans still don’t know what Death Stranding is about outside the bizarre visuals and Hollywood actors being part of its cast. Fans aiming to know more about this upcoming game are all ears every time Kojima makes a public appearance as he still has many explaining to do about this title. Previously, Death Stranding had a rumor that actress Emma Stone could’ve been one of the main cast. However, the rumor was easily quelled as it was a picture of one of Glam and Gore’s makeup tutorials. For now, we can only hope that Kojima talks more about Death Stranding in this upcoming Tribeca Games Festival appearance. Stay updated with more gaming news here on The BitBag.
