Deadpool Movie: Merc To Join The Avengers In The MCU?

By on

Marvel fans were psyched when the seemingly impossible happened as 20th Century Fox officially announced that a Deadpool movie will be made. Just recently, another shocking surprise broke when it was revealed that the wacky and violent Merc With A Mouth has now become an Avenger in the comics. Like Spider-Man, will he soon switch to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and join the ranks of Iron Man and Captain America?

Deadpool Joins The Avengers

In Avengers #0, Deadpool received his own ?Avengers Priority Identification Card? as handed-out by Captain America after he successfully completed one of his orders, Polygon reported. The Avengers #0, written by Gerry Dugan, serves as the launch-pad for other Avengers comics for Marvel?s All-New, All-Different comics.

Avengers In Future Deadpool Movie?

It looked seemingly impossible at first for Marvel to include Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after they sold their characters to different studios but Marvel has finally leased the character for their movies. Fans might be thinking that Marvel can do the same with Deadpool, however, it is a bit more complicated than that.

Spider-Man has long been a member of the Avengers in the comics and he actually serves a pivotal role in the Civil War comics. It is yet to be known if Marvel tried to get Spider-Man back for their Captain America Civil War movie and if Spidey will live-up to his role in the comics.

The same can?t be said for Deadpool. His outlandish personality and foul mouth might also be too might much for the child-friendly MCU. Marvel also took a long time to lease Spider-Man, one of their most popular characters.

Nothing is impossible however for Marvel. Everyone also thought before that an Avengers movie during the 1980?s and 1990s was impossible, Movie Web reported. Marvel may also produce more phases for their MCU and as studio bases their movies? story in the comics, thus, they may soon use the groundwork of the Avengers comics with Deadpool as a member, the report added.

The Deadpool Movie starring Ryan Reynolds will be released in cinemas on February 12, 2016.
