D&D Co-Creator Dies At 69

By on

For those of you who once played Dungeons and Dragons (or still do!), we are now in mourning. Gary Gygax, who helped create D&D, which became the framework for many other fantasy based pencil, paper, and dice role-playing games, has died this morning at age 69.

I played D&D with friends for many hours in my lifetime, with my most recent adventures coming to a close a few years back. It could be said without much protest that, without D&D, the role-playing games that we know and love would have been a completely different experience without the easy-to-understand system of rules that Gygax helped set forth way back in 1974. Dust off those multi-sided dice and give them one more roll in honor of Mr. Gygax!
