  • Both The Flash and Arrow will appear in the show as shown in the announcement trailer. They however won?t be staple characters in the series, however, the speedster is said to have a big presence in the opening episodes of the show.
  • The new anthology series will star Brand Routh as Ray Palmer aka the Atom. Atom is the head of Palmer Technologies who invents the A.T.O.M. exosuit which has numerous capabilities including making himself shrink in size.
  • Caity Lotz who starred on Arrow as the Black Canary will be showing in this series as Sara Lance aka White Canary. Viewers will remember that Lotz was killed in the series Arrow, but she will make a comeback in the season 4 of arrow before she makes her appearance in the new DC show by CW.
  • Arthur Darvil will star as Rip Hunter, the man responsible for banding together heroes and villains to form the Legends of Tomorrow. He will also be the reason why The Flash will be going in alternate timelines.
  • Wentworth Miller will star as Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold.
  • Franz Drameh will play as Jay Jackson who is rumored to play as the New 52 version of Cyborg, IGN said.
  • IGN comfirmed the appearance of Hawkman as told by DC?s Geoff John during Comic-Con, however, the actor is still to be disclosed.
  • Vandal Savage is going to be the series? villain, an immortal being who has long troubled history. The actor has yet to be announced.

Characters who appeared on The Flash

There are also heroes who already appeared on The Flash who are also making an appearance in the upcoming DC show?like Professor Martin Stein who will play as the Firestorm, Ciara Rene who will reprise her?role as Hawkgirl, and Dominic Purcell who will be portraying Mick Rory aka Heatwave.

Suicide Squad Rumor

As DC is slowly introducing more names both in the small and big screen, there is definitely a big chance of also seeing Suicide Squad characters into the series. This is more plausible especially as a number of Suicide Squad characters, according to Moviepilot, were already spotted?on?Arrow.

  • Tara Strong, voice actress for Harley Quinn, was seen doing a cameo in Arrow episode 2.16. She could either come back for a big role in this new DC tv series or in Arrow. Legal reasons however may prevent a Harley Quinn appearing in this show, but we never know what may happen.
  • Captain Boomerang was seen in Arrow episode 3.08. He could come-up again as a villain and thwart the Legends.
  • Raven may make an appearance as we have seen him in Arrow episode 2.23.

The Story

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Show Runner Phil Klemmer said the story?s concept of time-travelling will be ?total madness? as some characters sideline to fix their own timeline which negatively affects history.

?They?re screw-ups. Instead of tiptoeing through history, they?re plodding through it, leaving their footprints and fingerprints and constantly having to wonder whether they?re going to screw the future up rather than fix it,? Klemmer told EW. ?Who can resist the urge to correct the past or to investigate the future??

Here is the synopsis of the series per ScreenRant:

When heroes alone are not enough? the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat? one in which not only is the planet at skate, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will debut in?January 2016.
