The Doctor is now The Villain in the upcoming Netflix series from Marvel titled A.K.A Jessica Jones
Recently, Marvel has announced that David Tennant was going to be a part of the Netflix series, A.K.A Jessica Jones. This is actually shocking news especially to the fans of the Tenth Doctor.
In case you didn?t know, David Tennant gained worldwide fame after his role as the Tenth Doctor in BBC?s longest running Sci-Fi show Doctor Who. During his years as the Doctor, there were a few occasions where viewers can get to see his ?dark side? especially in the 2006 Christmas Special ?The Runaway Bride??where he was willing to kill the last remaining Racnoss in the whole universe.
According to empire, Zebediah was a normal human being but after his exposure to an experimental nerve gas, his skin turned purple and gained some special abilities like Mind-Control?where he used it against Jessica Jones and controlled her for a while, this is the reason why she gave up her superhero role. Because of his skin color, other Marvel character calls him The Purple Man.
David Tennant is a great actor, not just in the BBC show Doctor Who but he was also part of the cast in the fourth book to movie adaptation, Harry Potter: The Goblet of Fire.
What is A.K.A. Jessica Jones?
Just like a television show but instead of a TV, this one is going to be aired on Netflix, an internet streaming media provider. It is a series that was part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it is being developed by Executive Producer/Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg, as stated on the report from Marvel.
As explained on that report, the plot will revolve around Jessica Jones (played by Krysten Ritter). She is rebuilding her personal life and a career as a detective after a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint. She gets pulled by different cases involving other beings with extraordinary abilities.
A.K.A Jessica Jones is a 13-episode series that is set to premiere this 2015 on Netflix
