The release date for the sequel to one of the hardest games in the current generation has been revealed, for Japan
Bandai Namco has announced that From Software?s Dark Souls 3 will be available on March 26, 2016 in Japan, this was according to the official website?s description for the game, along with a special preorder bonus items, which includes the original soundtrack and a special map for the game, the package will cost at 7,430 yen for the physical copy and 6,930 for the digital copy. However, From Software mentioned that the release date of the English version of Dark Souls 3 will be revealed in the coming days.
Also, a special PlayStation 4 network test is available for sign up and will last until October 4 at midnight JST and the test will be scheduled on October 16, 17 and 18 from 8:00PM to 11:00PM JST, you can sign up for the network test here. Dark Souls 3 is an action role-playing game and the second sequel to the Dark Souls series, where the game started with Demon Souls back in 2009 for the PlayStation 3. According to Bandai Namco, Dark Souls 3 will bring certain story elements into a conclusion, though it was stated that this will not be the last of the series.
Some are speculating that the next Souls game will be more of a hack and slash, as a new trademark was filed by Bandai Namco called Slashy Souls and From Software was hinting that they will be creating more games, specifically for the sci-fi genre, From Software were also behind the success of the popular mech action game Armored Core series that was debuted on the PlayStation in the late 90?s, the last known Armored Core game was Armored Core: Verdict Day for the PlayStation 3 in 2013.
Expect to see Dark Souls 3 next year, after 1 or months from the initial Japan release, it will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
