Dark Souls 2: Tips On How To Defeat Some Of The Toughest Bosses

By on

As a whole, Dark Souls 2 is one of the most difficult games there is of the last two console generations. It?s mostly agreed that the hardest battles are against the bosses. Compiled below are some of the toughest Dark Souls 2 bosses.

There?s a high probability that you?ll encounter Ruin Sentinels early on, depending on how you navigate your way around the game. Alone, a Ruin Sentinel is not much of a problem, but the real problem is you fight them in a group of three. Facing all three of them, head on will surely be a deathwish. So try to take them down one at a time. But be extremely careful, because one mistake and you will end up squaring off against all three of them. It would be best if you equip yourself with a shield that can absorb 100 percent physical damage before you decide to fight them.

If you decide to go into this battle without any knowledge of the fight, it?s going to be the most difficult fight in the game, no argue. Fortunately, you can do some things to make this battle a little bit easier. If you got yourself a shield that can absorb 100 percent physical damage, it would be best to equip it before you enter the battle. Also, if you?ve managed to defeat the Belfry Gargoyles, you will obtain the Bastille Key. You can use this key to open the doors on either of the side of the boss battle area. From there, light the oil to brighten up? the battle zone.

If you do not do this, the area of the battle will be extremely dark, making it hard to see the boss. And you will lose your lock-on if you don?t remain close to The Lost Sinner.

This boss is very agile, it attacks frequently and jumps around. It won?t give you much of a chance to make an offensive move so it?s really important to have a shield that absorbs 100 percent physical damage to block its attacks.

What makes this battle a bit of a hassle is the fact that it is a fight of attrition. You must try to evade most of the boss?s attacks and you also need to have enough healing abilities to defeat the Smelter Demon. Again, equipping yourself with a shield that absorbs 100 percent physical damage will help but the boss uses elemental fire attacks. Meaning, even with this shield, you will still take damage. If your shield has a fire resistance, that will be better. But physical resistance is much more important.

In addition, your agility is also very important during this fight. If your character is too heavy, it will be difficult to move around and dodge the Smelter Demon?s attacks, making the battle nearly unwinnable.

But even if you have a light armor and a shield, you still have to move around, and taking damage is still unavoidable. That?s why it is important to pack yourself up with healing items or learn healing abilities before you face this dangerous foe.
