The 17-year-old Bindi Irwin and her 30-year-old partner Derek Hough are the new champions of one of the biggest reality television shows – Dancing with the Stars. The Jungle Girl and her dancing partner took home the much desired Mirror Ball trophy according to 9news.com

The daughter of Steve Irwin charmed the judges and the audience with her finale performance for which she received an ideal score of perfect 30.

Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys’ got a perfect 30 too, while US Army hero Alek Skarlatos got a score of 27.

Thanks to the combination of votes from the viewers and judges that helped Bindi take home the trophy.

Before Bindi?s finale performance, the judges praised her saying that she is fearless and there?s a magic that happens when she dances.

The Australian actress impressed with a Cha Cha-Argentine Tango, a fusion dance. She had only 24 hours to prepare for this performance.She described the last three months on the show as life changing and her thanked supporters.

?Here I am given this opportunity to remember moments in my life that I never thought I?d really be able to look at and smile,? she said.

?I never thought I?d be given that chance. Thank you for changing my life.?

The Australian performer?s five-time?DWTS?championdance partner Hough said he was impressed by her performance throughout the series according to news.com.au

?I?ve never seen anybody quite like you,? he told her. ?She looks at the challenge in the face and she smiles at it.?

The teenager dedicated her proud moments to her late father. Her journey on the show was filled with emotions.Steve Irwin, her dad, popularly known as the ?Crocodile Hunter? died at the age of 44. He was filming for his daughter?s program ?Bindi the Jungle Girl? in 2006 when a stingray struck its barb into his heart.
