Guardians of the Galaxy 2 won’t be up until May next year. Fans are highly anticipating the second installment for the original film was as cool as can be. In the meantime, Thinkgeek‘s got something to pacify your lonely hearts from missing baby Groot. Introducing, the dancing baby groot USB charger!
Baby Groot sits in a pot and is small enough to fit into your car’s cup holders. It draws power from your car’s 12-volt DC outlet and has two 2.1-amp USB ports that allows you to charge two gadgets at once. A bit of a warning though, make sure to keep your eyes on the road and not on this cute ?litoi twee? if you don’t want to meet an accident. It retails for 40 bucks a pop and it?s worth every penny, promise!
Why Baby Groot Refuses To Dance Around Drax
Although it’s still a couple of months before the sequel is released, director James Gunn already knew what he wanted for the movie from the very beginning. He said it won’t adapt a story coming from the comic books. He would instead make an original film that viewers would love. He also shared some info about the first Guardians. He talked about the mid-credits scene with Drax and dancing baby Groot. Fans would recall that it was set to the tune of Jackson 5’s ?I Want You Back? which was a massive hit. This became an inspiration to the dancing Baby Groot merchandise.
However, there’s a reason behind why baby Groot didn’t want to be caught dancing by Drax. Gunn explains, “There was actually a scene that we cut from the movie where big Groot was dancing to ‘Livin’ Thing’ by ELO, and it wasn’t such an elaborate dance. It was more that he was just moving up and down like this, and Drax was dismissive and gave him this look like he was a loser when he did that.”
He added, “Dancing is ludicrous to Drax. I don’t think he understands it. If Drax owned a town, if he was mayor, the first law would be no dancing. But yeah, so at the end of the movie, little baby Groot didn’t want to get caught dancing, because he would kill him.”
Really now? I don?t think so. Gunn?s the director but I don?t believe a word he says. Who could imagine Drax or anyone killing such a cute ?litoi twee? like baby Groot, eh? No one.
