Fans of Arrows and The Flash! Time to rejoice since your two favorite superhero TV series have been renewed at The CW. The CW has also renewed 9 other TV shows.
Movieweb reports that ?The CW Network has given early renewals to 11 of its primetime series for the 2016-2017 season.? The announcement was made by none other than The CW president, Mark Pedowitz.
According to the report, the following are the series being ?ordered for the 2016-2017 season include Jane the Virgin (Season 3), Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (Season 2), The Flash (Season 3), iZombie (Season 3), Arrow (Season 5), Supernatural (Season 12), DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (Season 2), The 100 (Season 4), The Vampire Diaries (Season 8), The Originals (Season 4) and Reign (Season 4).? The premiere dates of these shows will also be announced soon.
It is also noted that aside from these current TV series, the audience of the CW can expect new shows that the broadcasting company network is currently brewing. Based on reports, one of the shows being developed is Archie series Riverdale.
Deadline says that fans of drama series Containment, which will still have a mid-season premiere on April, have to wait until May if the show will be renewed or not. This is also a thrilling moment for Beauty and the Beast fans since it is not included in the list for renewal among the existing CW scripted series.
Meanwhile, both Arrow and The Flash are on winter break. But both shows will be returning in the 4th week of March. Both superhero TV series are heating up with cliffhangers prior to its hiatus.
Arrow Season 4 will be returning on March 23 with a new threat both from Cupid and Malcolm Merlin. Cupid is rumored to wreak havoc in Starling City, killing couples who are about to wed. Malcolm Merlin, on the other hand, is bruited to be the main villain of season 4. As for The Flash, Central City will be facing more metahumans like Trajectory and Rupture.
