?Curb Your Enthusiasm? Season 9 Release Date Rumors: Possible HBO, Amazon Premieres

Larry David?s Curb Your Enthusiasm is returning on HBO for Season 9. This will be the first new season in five years for the hit comedy drama and the premium cable network is just thrilled to have them back on board.

In a report by Variety, HBO programming president Casey Bloys said, ?We?re thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of ?Curb? and can?t wait to see what he has planned.?

Seinfeld co-creator, David, who also stars in the show, was asked about the decision to do a new season. He said, ?In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ?I left, I did nothing, I returned.??

This is awesome news for fans of the longest-running comedy drama on HBO as they have been waiting for this announcement since 2011. No further details have been released by the network and producers but there are release date rumors for the new season as predicted by Fansided.

The publication writes that Season 9 might be released summer of 2017 on HBO and for those who would want to know when it will possibly be available on Amazon Prime Video, the publication predicts it would be around 2020 if it will indeed premiere summer of 2017 on the premium cable.

This is based on the current agreement between HBO and Amazon, in which shows will be made available on Amazon Prime Video about three years after airing on HBO.

In the meantime, the first eight seasons of the comedy series are available for streaming on HBO Now, HBO Go and Amazon Prime Video.

The series stars Larry David as an over-the-top version of himself and features a tongue-in-cheek depiction of his everyday life. The Hollywood Reporter was able to talk to Curb?s executive producer, David Mandel, who is also currently the showrunner of HBO?s Veep, and he shared some storylines he wants to see in the new season. ?I have a whole long list of stuff,? Mandel said. ?The great Curb episodes are: Something happens in my life, like I get into a fight with somebody at a bank or something or whatever, and you write it down. Or something happens and you go, ?Oh, I wish I said something.? And you write that down. So that?s how Curb works. I have a long list and I?m sure so does Jeff, so does Larry, it?ll be great!?

Mandel also said that he is very thrilled after hearing of David?s decision to be not only as the show?s producer but ultimately, as a fan as well.
