Creed Movie Update, Release Date & Plot: Rocky Bolboa Is Back With A New Spin-off, What To Expect

Creed is the seventh in series of the successful Rocky movies franchise that follow the boxing career of Rocky Bolboa played by Sylvester Stallone. Director Ryan Coogler who was long time fan of Rocky movies ever since he and his father watched it together presented his idea of new spin off movie to Stallone who initially turned it down says report by Philly.com. Later on Stallone agreed to the movie and Coogler along with Aaron Covington started writing the script for the movie in 2013 after MGM signed up for it.

According to CrossMap the plot line of the movie revolves around Adonis Johnson son of world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed who goes to meet Rocky Bolboa to learn boxing from him.?Adonis Johnson doesn?t get to meet his father as he has already died before he is even born. He travels to Philadelphia to meet Rocky Bolboa to ask him to be his trainer. Rocky at first refuses saying that he is out of the game but after seeing his determination and strength agrees to train Adonis. Adonis however has to face his deadliest opponent yet.

Sylvester Stallone reprises his role as Rocky Balboa who is a widower currently living in Philadelphia after retiring from boxing a long time ago. Michael B. Jordan stars as Adonis Johnson Creed son of Apollo Creed who was a long time rival turned friend of Rocky Bolboa. According to NPR Michael B. Jordan is known for his role in the award winning movie ?Fruitvale Station? and as well starred in ?Friday Night Lights?. Others stars include Tessa Thompson who plays Bianca love interest of Adonis and Tony Bellew who plays ?Pretty? Ricky Conlan the british fighter whom Adonis challenges.

The movie will be releasing on November 25, 2015 in United States. There is also hope for future movies in the franchise as well given the response Creed receives.
