World Trigger manga fans may have to wait for sometime after it has been reported to be going on hiatus. The 51st issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced. On Monday, it was published that the manga series will not be on Shonen?s 51st and 52nd issues. The staff of the manga series also said that they will broadcast when the World Trigger manga is all set to return.
Creator Daisuke Ashihara’s poor health?was announced in the 50th issue of the magazine. He took a one week break in 2014 after getting treatment for nerve roots affected by cervical spondylosis. Since then, it became an illness that plagued the continual release of the World Trigger manga series.
The Weekly Shonen Jump magazine started serializing the World Trigger manga in 2013. It is currently on chapter 164 when the magazine announced the manga?s hiatus. Just recently, it concluded an anime version that ran from October 2014 to April 2016. It aireding a total of 73 episodes from Toei Animation.
World Trigger Synopsis
The World Trigger manga synopsis tells the story of how the Mikado City?s gate opened to another world dimension. Its exposure led to the arrival of monsters called Neighbors. The surge of the Neighbors came at an alarming point, thus the need to stop them increases. The story then continues when Yuma Kuga, a humanoid neighbor, arrives in Mikado City and meets Osamu Mikumo, a border agent. As he journey to the city to find cure, he also realizes, he has the power to determine whether a person is lying to him or not.
The World Trigger videogame was also released–the World Trigger: Borderless Mission. It?was released in Japan in 2015 and another version–the World Trigger: Smash Borders was made available on iOS and Android platform.
A survey by Oricon determined that the World Trigger manga is the 20th best selling manga, accumulating over 1.2 million sales in the first half of 2016.
