We’re not sure how fans will react when they find out about Crazy Ex Girlfriend finale spoilers. Our beloved Santino Fontana was written off. Thank goodness he wasn’t killed in the script, but what difference would it make if he wouldn’t make it back to the show?
Greg, who is played by Santino Fontana and is the love interest of Rebecca played by Rachel Bloom, only agreed to a one-year contract. Still, it was hard to leave the show. Right now the love triangle among Josh, Rachel and Greg is in a status quo because of Greg’s leaving. But showrunner Aline Brosh McKenna thinks otherwise and says it’s the perfect timing. Rachel knew her relationship with Greg was going down the drain so there’s no better time to end things than now.
Fontana mentioned when the first season finished that he wasn’t sure if there was going to be any season 2. This is the reason why he looked for other opportunities for him, like in the movies and theatre. When the show finally returned, it was too late to back out from his other commitments. Things worked out for him int the end but it doesn’t mean it was an easy thing to do.
Is Santino Ever Coming Back?
That’s a possibility considering Santino Fontana is a fan fave. So for those curious if he might at least guest star in the upcoming episodes, why not? He didn’t die, did he? He went to business school although for some people I know that’s as good as dying. Being forced to take up something you genuinely loathe. Anyway, Greg being recasted in the show is entirely possible.
Meanwhile, Rebecca’s best friend Paula (Donna Lynne Champlin) ends up being the one who’s truly pregnant. This after working out her failing marriage and deciding to go to law school. Now that her dreams are within reach, will they come crashing down because all the telltale signs point that she really got knocked up?
Find out how she deals with that when the show airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. For more of Crazy Ex Girlfriend finale spoilers and latest updates, keep it here on TheBitBag. Hit us with your feedback in the comments below.
