Crash Bandicoot Last E3

At E3 2016, the company announced that they?ll be doing Crash Bandicoot remasters of the first, second and Warped entries with Activision. Despite the announcement, Sony hasn?t given details for the release of the next Crash Bandicoot remasters. It’s possible that Sony and Activision may talk about the Crash Bandicoot PS4 releases at the PlayStation Experience 2016.?Also, the company has yet to show how the remaster will look like on the PS4.?

Activision, Sony, and Naughty Dog in One Room

The Crash Bandicoot series has been repeatedly bought and sold by many developers. Its first owner was Naughty Dog which was responsible for Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, Warped, and Crash Team Racing. Crash Bandicoot games after 1999 was developed by other companies that bought the series. Currently, Activision holds the rights to Crash Bandicoot.

As seen on the US PlayStation Blog post, both Activision and Naughty Dog will be exhibitors in the upcoming PlayStation Experience 2016 this December. Potentially, Activision and Naughty Dog will have to team up if they want to make the Crash Bandicoot remasters successfully. Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, and Warped were Naughty Dog?s works, and they?re going to be remastered by Vicarious Visions from the ground up. It may help the latter to ask for assistance from the game?s original owners to make a successful remaster.

Return of Platformers

In the current video game generation, platformer games are rare and are often sought only by smaller indie developers. Large AAA companies go for First Person Shooters or cinematic action games. Potentially, the Crash Bandicoot remasters could test the waters so developers can see if it?ll still click with the audience of today. For now, we can only wait and see if Crash Bandicoot does appear in the upcoming PlayStation Experience 2016. Stay updated with more Crash Bandicoot news here on The BitBag.
