After more than a year since the first season ended, there are rumors suggesting a Constantine Season 2, which of course delighted the fans. But, if ever Matt Ryan?s titular character would not come back for an installment, is there a chance that he would become a regular on Arrow?
It was back in 2014 when the first episode of Constantine aired and after its finale, NBC had to cancel and drop the show because of poor ratings. However, after the successful cameo of Ryan in Arrow, the show seems to have found a new hope in another network, The CW.
According to reports, with the DC Comics? eagerness to rule television, they may actually revive the show. With their outstanding shows like Arrow, The Flash and Legends Of Tomorrow, the poor ratings of Ryan?s own show came as a surprise. But with its possible new home, the ratings of the second season may differ from the first one.
On the other hand, if Constantine Season 2 would remain as a rumor, Ryan?s character may have a chance to be a regular on Arrow. Prior to the cameo of the actor, showrunners Wendy Mericle and Marc Guggenheim already expressed their openness to take up the brilliant demon-fighting character of Ryan into their show.
Also, Guggenheim even mentioned that the Arrowverse was already fit for John Constantine?s official introduction but if he would really come aboard, they would have to make one tough creative decision. However, that possibility has a low chance from happening as the producers recently announced that they would want to go more real than supernatural in the upcoming seasons.
If John C. could not be a part of Arrow, another possibility is that he could appear on Legends of Tomorrow, and if he does, the character?s presence would have to be less creepy or bloody, not like how NBC presented him and probably the reason for the low ratings.
