Console Players of Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition Faces Uncertain Future Support

Blizzard Entertainment, the game developer of Diablo 3, has admitted that they’re?still working out the details on how to provide future support and regular updates for the Xbox One and PS4 console versions of the soon to be released Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition.

Popular games like Diablo 3 regularly enjoy patches and updates from the game developers. Players of the PC version of the Diablo 3 have no problem with regards to the after launch support.

According to the Diablo 3 official forum, a Blizzard representative gave his comment about the future support for the consoles, ?We?re still working out all the details regarding if and how Ultimate Evil Edition will be supported post-launch ? so we don?t have an answer for you right now?.

Because of the complexities of today?s games, patches are vital in order to prolong the life of a game, and keep its players interested. Patches may include fixes for bugs and other critical issues in the game. Contents like skins, new storyline, armor and weapons can also be added through regular updates.

Blizzard Entertainment,?however, has assured the gaming public, that the Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition will have updates available for all platforms by the time it is shipped.

The support for both PC and console versions will be available up to the 2.0.5 patch. Blizzard has also hinted that the consoles will receive another major update from the 2.0.6 patch that will make the Xbox One and PS4 up to date with their PC counterpart.

But as of now, a 2.1.0 patch for the game is now being prepared. Still under testing, this particular patch will include new environments and additional contents such more challenges and the adding of a leaderboard.

August 19 is the official launch date of the Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition and will be available on the PS4, Xbox One, including the older consoles, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Owners of the PlayStation 4 consoles will be happy to know that they will receive an additional DLC, the infected from the Last of Us and a transmorg set, Shadow of the Colossus.
