Were those sneakers from Dad a bit too loud? Or that dress from Aunt May just not your type? Don’t worry, if you think you can’t use all your presents this year, Burger King has come up with an ingenuous solution. You can now swap your gifts in exchange for a flame grilled Burger King Whopper.

This is the first time the fast food chain has ever come up with such an idea. Come December 26, some select outlets in Miami, London and Brazil will allow their customers to bring in their gifts of any value in exchange for a free burger. The gifts will then be donated to charity, thus, this is for a good cause.

Rule of Thumb

In order for your gifts to be accepted, these gifts must be unused. According to the Burger King spokesperson, “The acceptability of item will be determined by Burger King Restaurant personnel in their sole discretion.” Additionally, the spokesperson said to the Miami New Times that these gift exchanges will be ‘limited to a certain number of gifts.’

But what about those people who don’t live in these cities? You still have a chance to get some free food. The first 100 fans that will post an image of themselves with the unwanted present with the hashtag #WhopperExchange come December 26 will get a “surprise from the Burger King brand’s social media accounts,” as stated by a company press release per

What that ‘surprise’ might be is anybody’s guess. Perhaps it’s a voucher for a Whopper in any Burger King branch nationwide. How about one of their other famous delicacies? Perhaps the Cheesy Tots? Or Cheetos Crusted Mac n Cheese bites? The event will be on December 26 starting at 10:30 a.m. up to 5 p.m. The sole U.S. location will be at South Beach’s Burger King at 910 Arthur Godfrey Road in Miami.
