Chris Hemsworth has done his parents really proud. The actor?s parents were in a lot of debt and Chris took off the burden from their head and decided to clear it off.
Recently the actor?s younger brother, Liam Hemsworth, revealed in a recent interview that the Avengers star surprised their parents by paying off their debts. ?Talking about the same, he said, ?He [his father] called my brother Chris back and said: ?I don?t know how to feel. Since I left home I have had debts and I thought I?d be paying them off until I died and have this weight hanging over me, and now to have them completely cleared.? He further stated, ?They are so happy now and able to spend more time with us, I would love to be able to do something for my parents like that,? reported Entertainment Weekly.
According to News.Com Au, the parents are not only rejoicing about the fact that their son has cleared their debts but also about the fact that the brothers have become ambassadors for the Australian Childhood Foundation. The Australian organisation aims to aid the ?recovery of children traumatised by abuse neglect and family violence?.
?If you want to be a good person who adds to society, you have responsibility. That is something I take very seriously,? Hemsworth said.
Liam also said that he hopes to one day act just like his older brother and said, ?I would love to be able to do something for my parents like that,? reported Hollywood Life.
Liam was speaking as part of promotion for The Dressmaker, a breakaway role from The Hunger Games series.The Dressmaker and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 are both out now.
Chris’ latest film, Ron Howard’s whaling epic In the Heart of the Sea, opens on December 11.
