Australia is not the first country to ban rapper and singer Chris Brown. Earlier too there have been instances which have led to him getting banned from Great Britain, Canada and New Zealand.
Well, the reason behind Australia banning Chris is his infamous case where he was booked for assaulting his then girlfriend and singer Rihanna.
According to a report by CNN, Australian authorities have formally warned Brown, who is scheduled to play four big shows in the country in December, that they intend to consider refusing his visa application, Immigration Minister Peter Dutton said in a statement on Sunday.
The award-winning R&B singer, now has 28 days to present material to argue why he should get a visa.
Page Six? reports that Brown was s given a ?notice of intention to consider refusal? of his visa application. Immigration Minister Peter Dutton?s announcement came just days after Dutton?s predecessor, Michaelia Cash, urged Brown?s rejection.
People need to understand if you are going to commit domestic violence and then you want to travel around the world, there are going to be countries that say to you: ?You cannot come in because you are not of the character we expect in Australia,? ? Cash, now the minister of women, had said.
Brown requires a special visa because of his past conviction after he pleaded guilty to punching and strangling Rihanna. “I was battered, I was bleeding, I was swollen in my face,” Rihanna told Good Morning America in 2009, reported The Telegraph.
The ban has come out just few days before Chris?s show tickets were going to gone out on sale.
Thought things do not look in favour of Chris, let?s hope his fans do not have to hear an upsetting news.
